We had the great opportunity to join the Women’s Ice Angler Project for their 2020 Women On Ice Event at Lake of The Woods in Minnesota. Led by Captain Barb Carey, the Women Ice Angler Project started in 2015 as a one time media event to spark positive images of women in ice fishing. To date, the Women Ice Angler Project has continued to showcase women anglers doing what they do best on the ice, and encourage more women to get involved.

"We’ve turned WIAP into a yearly media event dedicated to showcasing positive images and video of women ice fishing independently". WIAP

This year at River Bend Resort, in Lake of The Woods "The Walleye Capital of the World" Minnesota, the main event was hosted. For those who don't know, the Walleye is also called the yellow Pike or Yellow Pickerel, making this a prime Ice Fishing destination.

We even had time to sneak in a giveaway and teamed on with Women on Ice to Host the Fire and Ice Sweepstakes! including a QuickSurvive Campers Dozen(144 Fire Starters), a Gcioutdoor Roadtrip Rocker, lots of great ice fishing gear from Clam Outdoors, two Kershaw Knives knives, and a Pop-Up Firepit from Fireside Outdoor! Sweepstakes ends on December 17 2020!

Be sure to check out their Facebook page for pictures from on the ice and more upcoming information about what they do, and upcoming events.

Going on a an Ice Fishing trip soon? Snag a 50 Canister...or a Dooms Day Prepper Pack if you need to stock up for a full season on the ice ;) and you won't have any excuses when it comes to getting a spontaneous fire going in your Ice Shanty.

Bye fire fans, we want to see your fire setups. Light one up. Tag us. #QuickSurvive.
